The whole world in one city!

by Mahieu - last update: Nov 17, 2004

Words fail to describe New York. But I'll try to anyway. The first couple of days I was just confused by its dimensions, its amount of people and its so well known landmarks. But once this feeling was over, I really started to fall in love with this city. If you are planning on visiting NYC, don't stick to midtown Manhattan. Also visit Brooklyn, Harlem, The Bronx, ... Only this way, you get to see the different aspects of NYC and you get to understand the city just a little bit more.

Pros:"the vibrant energy, the coffee houses, the melting pot..."
Cons:"the contrast between rich and poor; very expensive"
In A Nutshell:""Leaving New York, never easy" (R.E.M.)"

Hi, Nice tips and photos about NYC. Next time, though, you need to cross the Hudson River and come to New Jersey. :) Cheers, Bill

Glad you survived the Bronx. It really is a nice area, next time check out the zoo and botanical gardens, you'll love them.
