Dublin is great! Dublin is great! Dublin is great! And did I mention that Dublin is great?
I didn't know what to expect before I went there. People told me that it was mainly a big city, not really beautiful, but that the pubs are nice.
And indeed, Dublin is not the most beautiful city I saw, but thanks to the wonderful people I met, Guinness, long walks along the Liffey and the atmosphere that reigns over the city, Dublin turned out to be one of my favourite cities! Can I go back please?
And back I went indeed! In July 2005, I spent a couple of days in Dublin with some friends. And I even felt more in love with the Irish culture/mentality!
January 2006: Dublin again indeed! Seems like every year, I need to have my Dublin-shot :-) Thanks to Fergal (VT-member horseskoby) I discovered some other nice traditional pubs.
June 2009: Guess what? Yes, I'm coming back! Before heading of off to Galway, I'll spend another 24 hours in Dublin! |

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the greatest traditional music pub in Dublin. No other pub comes near it. It is nothing like those ridiculous tourist pubs. There are usually 2 seisiúin every night. Expect great music, not state of the art comfort. | Jim_Eliason Tue Sep 18, 2007 14:23 UTC
