Since a long time I wanted to visit Sevilla and finally, in March 2004, I was able to spend 5 days in this beautiful southern-Spanish city.
I wanted to practise my Spanish a bit, but this was easier said than done, because the local dialect is quite difficult to understand, especially when spoken by elderly people! :-)
Sevilla is indeed a very beautiful city, but for one reason or another I prefered the atmosphere of other Spanish cities like Barcelona or Madrid. But this has probably to do with the fact that I traveled alone and didn't get into the typical tapasbars or nightlife scene. Will come back definitely and will probably have a whole other opinion, cause enjoying Spain is indeed about those things too and not only about the beauty of its cities. |
