I needed a break from everyday routine and decided to go to Bergamo for 1 day. An early morning flight and an evening flight back. I was told that Bergamo was easy to visit in 1 day. And indeed, I had the time to visit most highlights, but I definitely want to come back again. Bergamo is a fantastic city! Very cosy, beautiful and at the time I was there (end of January) there was almost nobody around! Actually there are two Bergamo's: the new (Citta Bassa) and the old city (Citta Alta). The old city being the most interested, I only stuck to this part during my first visit to this wonderful north-Italian city.
I went back indeed a second time, in May 2006 |
