Getting TO/AROUND: The only way to get there by plane is departing from turkey. it is a good idea to spend some days in istambul or other turkish city before coming here if you are going to pass though anyway. Anyway beware that if you got turkish cypriot stamp on your passport you may get banned for entering south part of island if you go in other occasion (the only way going to greek side is going all the way back to turkey, then going to greece or other country that has a flight to greek side and then you can go). By the way I readed somewere you can get the stamp in a different piece of paper so you can get it off your passport when you go back, but when I came they didn't ask, they just put the stamp on my passport. If you go to greek side you may get a permit to entering turkish part... but it is temporary .

'Mode': AROUND
Category: Bus
Getting TO/AROUND: going from famagusta to lefkosa can be difficult some times... every 30 minutes a bus arrives but you have to pray for bus drivers stop, then you have to pray for they let you go in (because some of them ask you for monthly bus card, of course in turkish) and then you have to pray to get a sit. This is not the end. When you arrive nicosia they get you to bus station and there is not other public transport than "taksi" which could get expensive... anyway north nicosia is not large and is possible to see much of it just by walking around. for example kaliforian restaurant is just about walking 30 minutes from bus station. Be sure to take buses before 6pm because the bus service stops at that time!!
