Getting TO/AROUND: Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) airport is 26km (16mi) southwest of the city. One of the most convenient ways to get into town is by the Stazione Termini direct train, which usually runs hourly from the airport.

Getting TO/AROUND: Once you master the transport system then you can get around Rome at very low prices, public transport is incredibly cheap. The key to the buses and trams is the “T-Point” where you purchase the tickets. Look out for the “T” because the slot machines are either busy or constantly out of service. The city's Metro service has two lines, both of which go through Termini. Tickets BIT: Integrated time ticket for 0,77 Euro cent, valid for up to 75 minutes on all ATAC buses and for 1 trip on underground lines or urban trais Pantano, Giutiniana & Lido di Ostia BIG: integrated day ticket CIS: integrazted weekly ticket
