    • Watch out on the streets of Rome, the traffic can drive you crazy. There is need to acclimatize to the rules of the street. The mixture of million pedestrians, loud motor vehicles, buses and motor cars is enigmatic. Don’t rely so much on your basic knowledge about a Zebra crossing, in Rome its contrary, both vehicle and pedestrian have the right of way. It ends up in a sort of organized chaos. Just take it easy, but take it. You can always retreat to the “Piazza” or to the parks.

    • On my first day I bought a 0,33 l bottle of mineral water at Piazza Venezia for 2 EURO. Thereafter on the way to Foro Romano I was to learn that a single bottle is a drop in the ocean so I bought the same bottle near Colosseum, this time it cost 3Euro. Later in the day as we were strolling around Piazza Novona we spotted a small grocery where we obtained the same bottle at 0,55 EURO.
    Consequently you should pack your lunch box before hand and turn to vendors around tourist sights as a last resort.

    Rome caters for its children though. Drinking water flows everywhere in the city and you can refill your bottle any time.
