Nightlife Spot: Beer / Wine Bars

A great little local North Beach bar away from the hustle and bustle of Broadway. Don't worry, you can easily walk there from Broadway. Small with a cozy feel. Good drinks, even if you don't know the bartender personally.

Nightlife Spot: Blondies Bar

Blondie's is a great place to meet your friends for a couple of drinks before heading off to the rest of the evening festivities.

A casual, informal, laid back environment in the Mission District of San Francsico, Blondies has a creative offering of adult beverages. Try the Deep Blue Funk! In my circle of friends, Blondie's is known for this drink. And as of 02/15/2004 I tried a new drink there, the Almond Mocha! Give it a try, it's deliciously dangerous!

Nightlife Spot: LUCKY 13

Alternative and grungy is the best way to describe Lucky 13. Very much a scene for the locals. No DJ, no dancing, no dress code, just your local watering hole complete with pool table and video games...alcohol of course! To enjoy the view, sit on the balcony and people watch (one of my favorite things to do!). Frequented by lesbians, bi, gay and straight people, it's a cool punk bar.

Nightlife Spot: The Warfield & The Fillmore

The Warfield and The Fillmore are great places to see a show. The smaller venue allows you to get that up close and personal feeling, unlike concerts seen in stadiums.

If you haven't purchased tickets in advance, don't worry, you can usually buy them at the box office on the day of the show or from the many scalpers on the street the night of the show.
