Dottie's True Blue Cafe: You MUST have breakfast here!

OK, it's a hole in the wall cafe, next door to an apartment that had the SFPD coming and going and sketchy people walking in and out BUT the eats are WELL WORTH IT! Our hotel in Union Square gave us the name of the place...and we aren't the only ones waiting! After 45 minutes wait and we were finally inside, enjoying amazing food.

The cooking is done right there, in front of your face. It's amazing to see how the chef is able to multi task so efficiently.

Favorite Dish: The french toast was fabulous. The couple next to us shared their pastry...ohmigod...amazing! The breakfasts are great, no matter what I tasted, it was great!

One is a man, one is a woman, guess who is who! - San Francisco

One is a man, one is a woman, guess who is who!

SUPPERCLUB: DINNER IN BED WITH TRANNIES

You want a San Francisco experience which will remain in your memory, even when you've returned home?

Supperclub is the place!

One seating per night, fixed price menu, 5 courses and lots of entertainment. You are led to your bed, YES bed, by a man dressed as a woman...or is it a woman dressed in some crazy drag?! ANYWAY...off with your shoes and hop up onto your white "bed" with clean, crips white sheets and comfy pillows. Drinks flow and food comes while you are entertained by the lovely "ladies" on the bed in the middle of the room. Not to mention the DJ's spinning great music!

Once dinner is finished, you can keep your "bed" as a VIP section once the crowd, eagerly waiting to get into the club after dinner comes in. Watch out!

Supperclub is not for the faint at heart, nor the conservative. Children should be left a home.

Favorite Dish: All of the food was good. But you really don't go there just for the food...

Address: 657 Harrison Street, San Francisco

Comparison: more expensive than average

Directions: Not too far off the Bay Bridge with easy parking. Valet parking is also available.

Levende Lounge AKA Living Room Lounge: Trendy food, great DJ's, great scene

Enjoy tapas style food (or small plates), best when shared.

Suggestion: Have everyone order 1-2 plates. It should be enough to fill you.

This restaraunt, in addition to serving wonderful food and specialty drinks, turns into a lounge/club after hours. You'll find local and international DJ's playing here...hip hop, dub, mellow house and downtempo.

See and be seen at Levende Lounge!

Favorite Dish: No fav's, you tell ME what you liked!

A16, busy even during the week! - San Francisco

A16, busy even during the week!

A16: Good food in the Marina District A16 Restaurant Review

I'm not usually one to hang out in the Marina District, but I'm glad my roomate took me to A16!

The environment was welcoming, people were casually dressed. Wine was flowing and the place was busy...a sign of a place you want to eat! The list of wines available written on a huge chalboard wall, mainly Italian reds and whites but a few California wines were available as well.

The menu had something for everyone! From prosciutto with a fava bean crostini to pizzas to pasta to top sirloin to great desserts. Not too extensive of a menu but plenty of varied items to whet your appetite.

I've been told they are even busier during the week so reservations are recommended BUT it only took us 30 minutes to be seated without reservations.

Enjoy!

Favorite Dish: The pork with olives, herbs and chestnuts was wonderful. Also enjoyed the magherita pizza.

And the wines were a mainly Italian with a few California ones thrown in. YUM!

Enjoying Picaro - San Francisco

Enjoying Picaro

Picaro: Great Spanish Tapas

A very casual, informal atmosphere exudes from the place...wear what you'd like, absolutely no need to dress up!

I've been to Picaro several times and have always been pleased with the food. Order away and share with your friends! If you're lucky, they'll share with you!

Don't expect five star service. The wait staff gets the job done and are there if you need them, they're just not overly attentive.

Many happy memories have been created for me here...go there and make some of your own!

Favorite Dish: Around 50 tapas to choose from! I'm still trying to work my way through the menu but one item in particular gets ordered every time:

Patatas bravas! Potatoes smothered in a VERY garlicky red sauce! Make sure you and whomever you're traveling with eat it or else someone is going to suffer from the leftover garlic essence exuding from every part of the body!

And don't forget to order some sangria...yummy!

Address: 3120 16th Street, San Francisco

Comparison: less expensive than average

Directions: 16th and Valencia. Stop by Blondies for a drink before going on to Picaro's (see my tip on Blondies)

Luna Park - San Francisco

Luna Park

LUNA PARK: The locals know, you should too

A great restaraunt full of fresh fish and meats. Wonderful ambiance, great adult beverages, garnished with plastic animals. The place has been packed since they've opened...and for good reason! It's trendy and hip and you won't be disappointed!

Address: 694 Valencia Street, San Francisco

Comparison: less expensive than average

Who are the gender illusionists?! - San Francisco

Who are the gender illusionists?!

Asia SF: Don't Miss the Girls! You CAN'T Miss the Girls! Asia SF Review

The food is good (I've had better) but all things considered, it's a GREAT place to visit!

You get good food and drinks in addition to an impressive performance ON the bar by your waitress! Be sure to be vocal about the performance! If you're enjoying it, DO let them know!

My suggestion is to bring an unassuming individual to ASIASF and see how long it takes them to figure out that thier waitress is truly a gender illusionist!

You will find an amazingly mixed crowd and it's fun to hang out downstairs in the club while waiting for your table.

Request the "Pussy Cat" song! It's worth you persuading them to perform it...

Have fun. I ALWAYS do!

Favorite Dish: No favorite! Get a group together and try it all!
