We had a wonderful time is Beijing. The first thing that struck us was that the city was surprisingly clean ... free of litter on the streets. We were also impressed by the number of taxis on the streets and of course, Beijing residents going about the day on bicycles...they must have nerves of steel to battle the buses and trucks at the busy crossroads! (ok...i must admit that i'm not a very confident cyclist!) |
