I dove in Soma Bay near Hurghada. Water was cold even with 7mm in January, but it was good. Fly from Taiwan to Tokyo or Osak to Bora Bora. It would be the easiest. Too many Japanese in Bora Bora, btw. :))
Hi Ken. Great tips on Hurghada, I hopr to go there soon. Keep smiling, Val :)
Re Camel Dung and pita. I'll take your word for it.
Ken, you have been everywhere. My son is now in Hurghada, so I am reading up on it. I like your crescent moon pic. What time was it when you took it?
I came back just from a Nile cruise and Hurghada stay. Experiences were quite similiar, especially what concerns hassle and begging.
Perfectly matches my own impression of Hurghada!
I agree about the corals in Hurghada...crap! Sharm diving is way nicer!!
I enjoyed reading your page, Your Intro Photo is wonderful, Look like you had fun with a 4x4 in the beautiful desert. Happy Travels (~_~)
I personally wouldn't trust those camels as far as I can throw 'em! I learned my lesson during my camel-back ride in Bali. They LOOK precious and sweet, but they'll toss ya like a Sunday morning Aunt Jemima pancake! Nice tip, though, Ken. ;-))
"Kinda looks like the whole country is always under construction...": think of this place as a preview of mainland China, Ken...!
