|  | The city of Alexander the Great and Cleopatra is certainly worth a side trip from Cairo. Located about 200 kilometers north-west of Cairo, it sits just west of the Nile delta on the Mediterranean Sea.
The most interesting things to do out here include the underground Roman Catacombs, the Graeco-Roman museum, and also enjoying the Mediterranean ocean breeze along the waterfront.... |

Someday though, they will find Alexander's tomb ( who is said to be buried here), and start running dive trips out to Cleo's Palace, which is believed to be out in the harbor underwater. I think then you will be better able to connect the modern city to it's past glory... |
