'Mode': AROUND
Category: Bus
Getting TO/AROUND: While KLIA is a sleek, modern airport, Puduraya Bus Station is more like a step back in time. There are scads of different private companies here, all in small booths madly waving their hands, and shreiking sales pitches to whoever walks by... Careful to stay a least an arms length away from the windows. You may wake up on a bus to Melaka with a big lump on your head before you know what hit you...

'Mode': TO
Category: Airplane
Getting TO/AROUND: Kuala Lumpur is indeed a city of contrasts, the super sleek airport, twin towers, and golden triangle versus the Bangkok-esque Puduraya bus station, Chow Kit, and Chinatown areas. KLIA is as nice an airport as you will find anywhere. The only drawback it that it is quite FAR from the city... (if luggage is light, the train would be the best way to transit to city centre...)
