Quite the place, Melaka....
Not only is it a historic port town, with well preserved Dutch, Portuguese, and English influences, but it is also the ancestral home of those virtually famous and near famous... (think big turkey leg and blurry fork...)
... and that fact alone would necessitate making the holy pilgrimage here.... (Well the churches, Chinatown, and town square are nice too, I guess...)

Certainly plenty of different designed Churches to look at!
Buck up already... only 1000 more rankings to go.. hehe
Great page Ken! Sounds like another far off location we'll never see but through you pages only! Thank you again for some great culture! :o)
Which rickshaw puller? Depends on the fee they're gonna charge. Got a feeling I'll be fleeced by both;)
Great page Ken!
That Landmark Birthplace is gonna be bigger than GRACELAND!! They need to erect the statue of the "Goddess Hailing the Wooden Spoon" in honor of our precious Melaka Muchacha!
Mmm, think I'll hire a professional rickshaw puller. Where is the plaque located that shows where Cat was born?
I love fishing port towns! Most people don't like the smell but I love it!!
Kitty,,, Scat ! Shoo ! Begone ! from my highly rated Melaka page... (your scaring the potential raters away...)
Totally adore Malacca. You have done your Malacca rounds well, my friend. Like the rickshaw pic :-p
