Huge Reclinging Buddha at Bago... - Bago

Just 80 Kilometers north of Yangon is the city of Bago. It is a historic town which was once an important seaport.

The town is dotted with old temples, payas, and a huge reclining Buddha image.

You can day trip out here from Yangon, or make a loop trip through Bago on your way to Kyiaktiyo...

Would love to visit Burma one day ..Aung San Suu Kyi is my idol. Btw do you know how the reclining Buddha at Bago ranked in length in the world ? It happen when I want to update my Penag page ...and one leads to another

hi, ken. you must be monumentally busy with work. i scrolled down your travel pages and nothing updated or super new. but BAGO (which means new in my language), is pretty new to me. these monuments are AMAZING.
