Delhi is a vast city that could occupy a tourist’s interest for quite some time. To better appreciate the City and its secrets. One could do little better than to read William Dalrymple’s “City of Djinns”. Traffic and pollution are Delhi’s biggest bugaboos and one must learn patience to make headway through the morass of cars here.

Delhi is one of the World’s oldest cities. My time here was very limited with a short visit to both the Rajghat and the site of the Qutb Minar, the world’s largest freestanding brick tower rising above the first incarnation of an Islamic Delhi.

Thanks for recommending William Dalrymple’s "City of Djinns". I'll get it and read it, since a visit to Delhi is looming for me in the near future. ("Looming" because I have an extremely low tolerance for automobiles.)
