This small village is made up of more than 80 pensions with a nice stone-sand beach back dropped by green forests and the huge Musa Dag to the south. Big hotels, like in Kemer, are not allowed here because of potential light pollution scaring away the loggerhead turtles that lay their eggs here on the beaches. The village is reached off the main highway D400 south of Kemer on a steeply winding road. The village makes a nice, quieter alternative than Kemer or Olimbos – which caters to the young hostel/disco crowd – for exploring the eastern area of the Lycian coastline. It also is an easy evening trip from here up to the fires of Varantaº since the path starts on the northern edge of town.

We were here end of April 2009, there were no tourists on the beach. Best orange juice ever and fabulous vegetable dishes. Amazing facts, great page!
