Combined Suggestions: Over the Water
  • Tip Rating:

  • For a great sunday brunch combined with a sightseeing trip take the ferry from across to Sausalito and have a brunch in a restuarant built up over the water with fantastic views across the bay to San Francisco, not to mention having a satisfying meal while doing it.

  • In general I wasn't too impressed by the restuarants on Pier 39, but you can have a good lunch/snack by buying a chowder with sourdough bread from one of the stalls along the harbourfront. If the weather is on the cold side this is also a good meal for warming yourself up again.

Sonoma township was really lovely & the valley very scenic too, but I equally enjoyed the Napa, but in a different way. San Francisco is my fave U.S. city too, but Chicago & Seattle run a close second. N.Y. is pretty special too!

Very nice page. I agree with you about Sonoma. I prefer it to Napa. Jeannette

Interesting views on Sonoma vs Napa.. I missed both. Being a lover of Asia, I loved Chinatown. What a shame you missed the invite to the party...lol My favourite US city.
