Very well located right in the centre of the Old Quarter the Classic I has incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very well sized and I had a view out of the window onto the streets filled with local atmosphere. The only problem was that drivers in Vietnam believe that the horn on their bikes is there and so must be used regardless of time of day. So there really was no chance of sleeping late in the morning. The real noise started at about 6:30, but This is probably true all over Hanoi - not just this hotel.
I had decided that I was going to stay at the Classic before I arrived but hadn't made any reservations. Luckily there was a driver from the Classic at the airport to pick up some other visitors who didn't turn up so I was able to get to the hotel with no problems.
Unique Qualities: Great location and friendly staff.
In-house travel desk able to book tours and tickets.
