Boat trip to Halong Bay: Not so much a restaurant tip - but about food

    On the trip to Ha Long Bay we had lunch included in the price of th eticket. However our bout pulled up alongside a moored pontoon which had nets holding fih which you could buy and get cooked on the tour boat to add to your lunch. I was chatting to some Vietnamese folks who did this and invited me to join them for their lunch. As you can see from the picture the spread was mouthwatering.

    Favorite Dish: All of it.
    We had fresh crab, steaks of fish (?), prawns, shrimps and shell fish to add to our squid salad and, spring rolls and rice.

    Never actually ate in here but drank quite a few of their great shakes and smoothies. It is supposed to be one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Hanoi though.

    Favorite Dish: A smoothie called the Indian Cooler, flavoured with a mixture of friuts and ginger.

     Heard so much about the puppet show,Phil &I wouldn't want to miss that when I will visit someday! Halong Bay looks very pretty,too! Seems like another wonderful travel,eh?=) Where r the mens in there? Are they should be the ones should carry the pole?
