3 nights in Singapore.... Thats all I had, but I was on a time budget, so 3 nights was going to have to do. Any less and I would have been bitterly disappointed because it's clear from wandering around this beautiful city that there is heaps to see and do, and the architecture means it's a photographers paradise.
However, you can still get a taste of Singapore if you are on a stopover of just a few hours - a minimum of 4 hours at Changi airport means you can take a brief city tour courtesy of the Singapore tourism office, free of charge.
What's more, Singapore lives up to its international reputation for being one of the worlds cleanest and safest cities. I felt perfectly at ease here, even at 1am exploring the city to find something to eat when the time difference made sleep impossible. There are a lot of confident travellers here on VT, but I am still finding my feet when it comes to solo travel, so this was important to me. |
