My scottish trip was base largely in the highlands, and Fort William was used as a convenient base because of its location. Its a quiet town, shadowed by peaks on one side and bordered by a peaceful loch on the other side. As our main reason here was to go hiking, the town was ideal as it had lots of shops selling oudoor gear, restaurants, supermarkets and cheap hotels. |
