"Mollet del Valles" Mollet by Svillegas

Mollet del Vallés es una pequeña ciudad de la provincia de Barcelona, nací y sigo viviendo allí.

No hay nada realmente especial allí, es el pueblo tipo, que se hizo grande cuando los emigrantes del resto de España tuvieron que dejar sus hogares en busca de trabajo y oportunidades después de los años de la dictadura de Franco. Creció demasiado deprisa para poder alojar a toda esa gente que llegaba (entre ellos mis padres desde el sur del país)

Sólo es un sitio amable en algunos aspectos y aburrido en otro, aunque esto es sólo mi opinión.

Está a unos 20 kilómetros de Barcelona, con buenas comunicaciones en transporte.

El pequeño tesoro en las cercanías es Gallecs, una zona verde rural o parque natural como se empeñan a llamarle ahora, una zona que lleva años luchando contra los polígonos industriales y las pequeñas ciudades que lo rodean por mantenerse verde.

Mollet del Vallés is a small city from the Barcelona province, I was born and still living there.

There nothing really special there, it's the kind of town that grew up when the emigrants from the rest of Spain had to leave their homes looking for work and opportunities after Franco's dictator years. It came big too fast to be able to adopt all these people that were arriving (like my parents, from the south of Spain).

It's only a kind, great in some aspects and boring in another, this is only my oppinion.

It's approximately 20 kilometres away from Barcelona, with good transport communication.

The little treasure around is Gallecs, a rural green area that have been fighting for long years against all the industrial zones and cities that surround it.
