| Mt. Everest / Final Approach into Lhasa |
Quite possibly the most spectacular flight on earth and it is only an hour and half. The flight over the Himalayas is made even more exciting as you approach Lhasa, Tibet. The contrasts between the snow of the mountains and the brown land large rivers of the outskirts of Lhasa is stunning. |
| Potala Palace from the roof of the Jokhar Temple |
This is an amazing place to be. Surrounded by the culture of Tibet, I got the feeling of being on the top of the world. The history of this holy place, brings perspective to life and all that Westerners hold dear and important. |
| Monks at Jokhar Monastery |
This was an exciting time to be at the Jokhar Monastery in Lhasa, Tibet. The Monks were in the yard conducting a celebration. Many Pilgrims had traveled to Lhasa. Several hundred people, Monks, Tibetans and a few Westerners gathers to experience and participate in this Buddist celebration. It was a great afternoon, all at the base of the Potala Palace. |
