"Ayr and ayrshire" Ayr by Alex_71

I arrived in Glasgow Prestwick's airport:from there to Ayr is about 10 minutes of train,so it's very easy to reach.The city of Ayr is very quiet town,with great people.If you search for monuments or masterpieces in scotland you have to go somewhere else,but if you search for quiet and for a good place where to stay for visting scotland countryside,that's your place.The town is not big so you can walk around on foot and it'll not take lots of time.You can find interesting shops,good pubs,and all the things that(as toursit)you think to find in a scotland city.I really loved ayr,expecially for the people:they are very very friendly,every time i asked something they helped me in all the possible ways.So,if you search for a quiet place,not far from Edinburgh and Glasgow,in the countryside,Ayr is the place where you have to come.Maybe Ayr is the real scotland town,with no lots of touristic attractions,but a place where you can live like a scottish

As you can see from the pic,Ayr is a very quiet place for stayin(i haven't see any policeman or police car around).You can go on foot to the "esplanade",that is a beach close to the town center,or you can rent a car and simpy go around for the ayshire.Or you just can realx in the town,going to pubs,and walking around.Just a strange thing is that during august or you go to eat in a pub before 9 pm or you don't eat.I understand that's the Uk way to be,and the time for dinner,but as italian i needed to adapt to this times..usually on holiday i go out for dinner at 9:30 pm.So remember to go early for dinner,and try local food like "hastings"...delicious:-)
