London is simply amazing:you walk into the streets and see amazing monuments all around you. That's what i love more in a city:-)You feel the sensation of the ancient english traditions but in the same time you feel the cosmopolitan big city.I went in London twice, first when i was 18 and second when i was 33.Two different ages and different things to do.If you are a young guy,you can enjoy very much nightlife too...just sometimes Londoner are not so friendly(expecially after some beers) with young 18 guys.At age of 30..well it's different..no one *** you off.Anyway London is a city to visit..everyone has to go there at least once in life.I suggest to spend a day visiting "tower of London".It costs a lot,but you'll stay in this place all the day, watching ancient armors and medieval things.Then..well..the classical tourists things to visit, that all of u know well,so i'll not annoy you with this.Just,if u have time,go to a park(i suggest Hyde park) and sit..just relax yourself. It's great to find a so quiet place in a city so full of life.Oh btw...people are friendly, but you'll find lots of tourists(i never found so many italians!!)everywhere,so if u wanna find some "not touristic" but beautiful place to visit,it's better that you ask to a London friend or here in the forum.Anyway,as my last comment...London is beautiful, people are great, and you need at least 1 week to visit it well enough |
| | Tradition and future In London you can notice everywhere the ancient English tradiotion:you can notice it from the monuments, from the squares, from people, and how proud english are of their story. But in the same time you see the new,the lots of different races you can meet, the tourists, and so you notice that London has an eye to the future. From the same point you can see the parliament and the Big Ben and the London eye.I like this mix of ancient traditions and new things. It makes London more fascinating(if it's possible).Try to spend some time in Piccadilly area,or close to the Parliament and you'll feel the same sensation |
