First quickly trip

First trip in Barcellona is during a "weekend-cruise" that i made as birthday present to my gf.I started my travel from Genova and arrived in Barcellona by GNV:then i had the time for going a little around the city and for dinner out, then at 1 am back on the boat for comeing back in Italy.
Obiusvly it was impossible for me to visit well Barcellona so from the harbour i went to the Columbus statue and from there i get a sighsteen bus that make the tour of the city.
Well the impression is of a city, full of life, with great people. They are hot persons and very friendly. With a so little time i have to make a choice so i left Gaudì gardens fro next trip here. With the touristic bus you can visit some monuments but,the best thing,is just walking on the Ramblas(the big streets of Barcellona that cross all the city). You can see Gaudi's art in some houses:it's particular as art,i mean, you can think he was crazy 'couse something is really strange, but for sure he was a great architect.
I stopped for dinner on the Ramblas:it's full of restaurants and they are opend until very late in the night.I tryed to local "paella" with"sangria" but i'm sure that's a touristic thing.I mean,i didn't notice any spanish persons eat there,so it's just made for tourist:i'm sure there are restaurants where u can eat ther real Barcellona's paella, but they are not on the Ramblas

My second trip

This time i was not on cruise so i had the chance to spend more time visiting Barcellona.I went again to visit the Sagrada Familia:this time i entered inside.Well inside is much less spectacular then outside.I think you can live well enough also withouth visiting it.A thing absolutely to do is to go and visit Gaudi's garden!! You can like or dislike this architect, but for sure he'll catch you with his strange way of construsctions.I went around Gaudi's garden just watching how he made things and thinking"how he was able to make a thing in this way?this man was mad but a genius".I'm not a Gaudi's fan but you'll appreciate his way and his idea of architecture. In free time i liked to go around on Ramblas, just watching shops or going in the Barro gotico, the medieval area of Barcellona. It's full of small and little streets that is a big contrast thinking to the Ramblas.A thig that i suggest is to go first on rambals and then in Barro gotico so u'll notice very much the differnece of the architecture.

I also think Gaudi must have been bonkers...But Barcelona sure made much of him.

Paella is from Valencia but you are right, you can get it in some restaurants. Sangria is just a tourist trap, 99% of it is drunk by tourists. Did you not try any Catalan food?
