Rocky Mountain National Park is easily one of the most beautiful national parks I have ever been to! Located within easy access of Denver, Colorado, it encompasses a vast area of mountains a valleys and includes the highest continuously paved road in the United States topping out at over 12,000 feet!

What better place to be than up in the mountains? To me, this is heaven! While Yosemite National Park may always have my heart with it's sheer cliffs and thundering waterfalls, Rocky Mountain National park will always have my soul with it's awesome snow-capped peaks and soaring mountains.

And of course who can forget snow? I know it'll never be possible, but I would love to see the 30+ feet of snow that cover the tops of these mountains in the dead of winter!

Pros and Cons

Pros:Beautiful mountain scenery, splendid mountain meadow walks
Cons:Big summer crowds, very heavy snows close most of the park in the winter
In a nutshell:This is what "purple mountain majesty" is all about!
