The restaurant Schlenkerla is *the* place for having an original local dark beer called "Rauchbier". The restaurant exists since 1678, and since then this beer is brewed and offered there. The ambience is cosy, rustic. It is located in a former Dominican convent.
Favorite Dish: Rauchbier! (but they also offer great local food)

Old town of Bamberg looks loveley. The oldest church of St. Gangolf looks great as well. Interesting info and good pictures. |
