Mount Ranier is located less than 2 hours from Seattle. On a clear day its towering whitecapped form can be seen miles away, dwarfing its neighbors within the mountain range. Highways 706 and 410 run through parts of the park, providing easy access to several short and some not so short trails.
We only had one day to visit this park, but it was quite a long day and we made the most of it. Given this brief length of time, its impossible to do this park justice. But by riding the highways and hiking the short and a not so short trail, we were able to get a good overview of the park, and some pretty good shots of its namesake mountain. |
