Name of Shop: Hotel Shops
Most of the large hotels have a shopping area. I guess its their way of making sure that those people who don't leave their money behind at the casinos have somewhere to spend it. But seriously, the shops are worth checking out, even if they are overpriced and all you do is window shop. The Venetian Hotel's Grand Canal shopping area is especially pretty, with the canal and gondolas in the center and the Italian architecture. There are a mixture of high end and not as high end shops here. Burberry and Ann Taylor are represented, but there's also a Sephora and Banana Republic.
What To Buy: Nothing really. This is a place to come and take a look. The shops are very pricey and not the place to be buying stuff. Even the more reasonable name stores such as Banana Republic have higher prices. There's another mall on the Strip whose prices are more reasonable. Unless you win big at the casino, stick to window shopping here.
What To Pay: Way too much. See above

Name of Shop: Forum Caesars Palace
Again, this is a very pricey collection of shops and, unless you frequently patronize Prada and Gucci, you'll be browsing and not buying here. But its fun to walk around and view the architecture and displays. Make sure to check out the talking statues by the fountain. Another cute show to see once.
What To Pay: A great deal

Name of Shop: Desert Passage Aladdin
These shops are a little more reasonable, and include places such as the makeup chain Sephora, Ann Taylor Loft and BeBe. Its probably geared more toward women than men, but what mall isnt? Desert Passage also has 2 all you can eat buffets. The decor is fabulous. There is an indoor thunderstorm which takes places every so often which is interesting to watch.
What To Buy: Even if you don't have $$ to spend, you can stop by Sephora and try on all the makeup.
What To Pay: Less than the Forum, Via Bellagio or the Grand Canal Shops. The Desert Passage doesn't have the high end Prada and Gucci shops, so the prices are a bit more reasonable.

Name of Shop: Hotel Shops
Another set of shops in the if-you-have-to-ask-you-can't-aff ord-it category. But most people stroll through this area, either to get to Olives restaurant, or simply to get back onto the Strip without having to walk the length of the Bellagio in the Vegas heat. But if you're a regular at Tiffany, Gucci or Hermes, you may want to pick up a little something while here.
What To Buy: Some diamonds at Tiffany, a purse at Gucci and a dress at Chanel.
What To Pay: More than you'll ever win at video poker.

Name of Shop: Malls / Outlets
A new mall located along the Las Vegas Strip. Unlike the hotel shops, this one has stores in which the average person can actually buy things, if that's how you want to spend your time while in Vegas. There's a Macys, a Dillards, and a bunch of other brand name stores which are less pricey than Prada or Gucci.
