Nightlife Spot: Downtown Death Valley
Many people wouldn't think that there is nightlife in Death Valley. Then again, some might be surprised that there's a fine dining restaurant as well. At the entrance to Furnace Creek Ranch, there's an area known affectionately by local area residents as "downtown Death Valley." Here you will find a restaurant, a separate bar/saloon and the general store. It looked to be a fairly lively scene in the saloon. Well, lively compared to the quiet that descends upon Death Valley once the stars are out. Its not the Vegas Strip, nor is it South Beach, but its something for those who want a night out to compliment their Death Valley experience.
