"A brief whirl through Donegal" County Donegal by Dabs

I must confess that I thought that my time in Donegal would be a little more than it turned out to be, the unpredictable Irish weather can be thanked for that. I thought we would be heading there early Tuesday morning but instead we had to double back to the Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge and so by the time we entered Donegal it was already late in the afternoon.

We drove partially around one of the peninsulas, going a lot slower than I anticipated, we noticed that we were getting a bit low on petrol and that we hadn't seen a gas station in ages so we finally gave up, asked a lovely gent in a bright blue van where to get some gas and followed him to the other side of the peninsula to fill up and then headed to Letterkenney our destination for the evening.

The next morning, you guessed it, it was raining So Glenveiagh National Park didn't sound like such a grand idea and my husband declared that he was tired of scenery so driving more of the pensinsulas was out so we replotted the day and started the drive back to Dublin by heading towards Sligo.
