Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If you visit Montreal in the summer, it gets very humid so even if the temperatures don’t llok too hot, pack shorts/short sleeved shirts/sandals. Bring good walking shoes. Montreal is a terrific place to walk.

Photo Equipment: I can’t think of anything out of the ordinary that you have to pack for Canada coming from the US. Canada has the same electric outlets as the US so you don’t need adapters or converters.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: If you are driving into Canada, you might think to bring along your bicycle, Montreal is a great city for bike riding.

Miscellaneous: US residents don’t currently need a passport or a visa but the customs agent said that would be changing in the future. Check the US Department of State website for current requirements. If you do not bring a passport you need proof of US citizenship such as a birth certificate or a naturalization certificate and a photo ID.
