My friend Robert (rmdw) has been begging me for just about as long as I've known him to come visit him in Vancouver, it had become sort of a standing joke along with there only being 6 restaurants in Vancouver, one of which was a McDonald's. So I bet he was surprised when I not only said I was coming to visit but then went ahead and actually booked an airline ticket!!!

I always seem to be flying when some major interruption of the airlines is going on, labor strikes, food strikes and sure enough I was flying to Vancouver on the day when they arrested 21 suspects in London for plotting to blow planes up with explosives in shampoo bottles. But an extra hour or so in the security line and a little more thorough check of my carryon (which was almost entirely filled with Garrett's Popcorn!) and a 45 minute delay and I was on my way to Vancouver.
