Cocoa Beach Travel Guide: 175 reviews and 302 photos
After two days at Disney World, it was nice to spend a day chilling out at Cocoa Beach, an easy hour or so drive due east from Orlando. Our first stop was at Ron Jon's for some souvenir shopping and then over to the beach for lunch at Coconuts on the Beach after which this lovely photo of Kat (keida84) and Patty (hexepatty) was snapped. As you can see from the photo, November isn't high season in Cocoa Beach, the kids are back in school and the temperatures are a little too cool to go in for a dip but it's still pretty :-)
After a little more souvenir shopping, we tried to get a little closer to Kennedy Space Center for a look at the Discovery shuttle that was sitting on the launch pad but security and trees kept us from getting close enough to get a good photo.
If you have a little more time and are interested in space exploration, you can visit the Kennedy Space Center or even see a launch although you'd have to be in Orlando for an extended period of time for that.

Coconuts sounds great [except for the band] The drink sounds wonderful as id the food. Just what did you buy to take back to the "hubbie"???
I love sitting on the deck at Coconuts! :)
I've heard of Ron Jon Jon's Surf Shop but have never been there. Cool restaurant tip.
