My grandma had been telling me for years how lovely the Descanso Gardens were so for our big excursion on this trip we decided to visit. October is not the prime viewing month for flowers in this area of California, the spring months of March and April are probably the best time to visit when the lilacs are in bloom and the camellias are in their full glory. But it was a pleasant enough way to spend a sunny morning even in October.

Cons:Visit is dependent on the blooming schedule

You knew I would love the Descanso Gardens and the beautiful flowers. The restaurant doesn't sound too bad either.
