Luggage and bags: If you are planning on taking public transport to/from airports or around Crimea, try to pack light. Longer range buses have storage under the bus, smaller marshrutkys do not and your luggage will be something that you need to move around

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: We did a lot of climbing in this area, bring shoes with good traction

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring some tissue with you for the occasional squat toilets. Even in late May, the sun was pretty intense and I got burned, bring a hat and sunscreen if you have fair skin. Medium range hotels should have most toiletries, budget hotels will not likely have anything besides soap.

Miscellaneous: Bring something along that has the Cyrillic alphabet and spelling of the names of the cities you are visiting. Both of my guidebooks, Bradt and Lonely Planet, had that information.
