Prague Travel Guide: 11,426 reviews and 23,093 photos
I'm really at a loss to explain why I'm not a card carrying member of the Prague fan club, it certainly is a breathtakingly beautiful city with it's castle towering over the Vltava River, interesting architecture, good food. But I just can't seem to muster the enthusiasm that I see on many of the pages here. Is it the hordes of tourists? The price gouging? The stag parties? The lack of anything concrete to do besides wander through the streets of the city? I really am at a loss to explain it, I've given Prague a couple of chances now and I'm just not in love.
On this trip we spent a couple of days driving through Southern Bohemia stopping in Ceske Budjovice and Cesky Krumlov, returned the car and spent a couple of days in Prague with a day trip out to Kutna Hora. We then took a train to Vienna, took a daytrip from there to Bratislava and returned to Prague for 2 nights before heading home. We met up with my VT friend Ed (kaspian) for a couple of the days before he headed off to Euromeet in Karlsruhe.
