My husband, who was trying to sell me on why we were heading to Annecy France told me that the prison, strategically set in the middle of a river, was the 2nd most photographed site in France behind the Eiffel Tower. |
A little research tells a slightly different story But I couldn't quite figure out why exactly we needed to be there on a specific Wednesday until magically Google comes back with the answer-Traverse du Lac, a swim race across Lac d'Annecy! |

jmkovarik Mon Mar 10, 2008 03:05 UTC I think I ate at this same restaurant this summer. The pot of mussels was huge, just like in your picture. Was it a semi open air, and did they serve gigantic beers? of so - that's where I went as well - and it was delicious. | icunme Fri Nov 23, 2007 20:08 UTC Wonder if the prisoners know how popular their home is for tourists! | Bwana_Brown Mon Sep 17, 2007 23:02 UTC Hey, that website really does have beautiful photos of Annecy - and that Intro prison view of yours is spectacular too! I've always wanted to tour the Rhone-Alpes area and your three small pages have just confirmed it! | Callavetta Fri Sep 7, 2007 00:55 UTC Was the lake cold? Sounds like quite an event. |
