| Longji The Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces |
Longsheng makes a great base to see some very interesting hilltribe people of Guilin and Guizhou where you can visit the Yao, Miao, Dong, and Zhuang peoples and see their ways of life and cultures. The Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces are fairly close and excessible. You may be just passing through Longsheng just to reach Ping'an or Dazhai in Longji and its amazing rice terraces, but if not Longsheng offers accomodation and places for dining.
Longsheng is 4 hours northwest of Guilin. Frequent buses run up to the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. |
