China for a Month

by Waxbag - last update: Jan 2, 2009

Longji, Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces
With only a month to spend in all of China we saw many of the highlights and a couple of extraordinary off the beaten path places that China has to offer. We got around entirely by train, which was a wonderful way to see the Chinese countryside and exprience life, the local way, on a train. It was actually quite comfortable. The people are a bit overwhelming in their astronimical numbers. But one on one, the Chinese are among the nicest people we've met. They are very respectful and hospitable towards travelers.

Hello John & Cara. I love your writing style, great pages here all deserving 5 stars! I heard that over 60% of all tourists in Chin are Chinese, I think we need to change that, it looks like a fascinating place to visit. Greetings from Dubai / Jess
