I spent about three years off and on working on a cruise ship called the S/S Independence. She was a classy old ship built in 1951. The ship made the rounds around the islands starting and ending in Honolulu. She went to Kauai, Maui, and Hilo and Kona on the Big Island.
My accommodation was solely on the ship but I got to see just about everything there is to see on these Islands. My favorite island is Kauai. I love the water falls and ruggedness that this island is all about.
