The Green Castle Backpackers, located just outside Graskop, is a great base for exploring the surrounding country. You are at the beginning of the R532 that goes to God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon, and many falls including Lisbon Falls. Going the other directions on the R532 you are near Pilgrim’s Rest and Sabie.
There is dorm and camping available here. The grass is good and security is not a problem. There is a large communal area and satisfactory cooking area (boiling water can be tough).
The most interesting part about this place is Andre, the very eccentric owner. He has many great stories and desires an unbelievable amount of attention. He knows a lot about the Kruger as well.
Camping is R35 each.
Dorm is R 60 each.

Directions: Look for the Green Castle sign coming into Graskop. It is located outside of town. From the center of town cross the rail bridge towards Sabie and turn left. Go two blocks and turn left. Two more blocks on the left.
