TULIPS

There are so many brightly coloured flowers that even on a rainy day you feel that you really have stepped into a kodak moment! Its a great place to wander around and sit for a while.
I love purple so I was on the look out for all the different varieties. My favourites were called Chansonette, Ballade, Passionale, Lilac Prince and Queen of the Night. Some of the flowers had names such as Mickey Mouse.
There are several pavilions amongst the gardens with special exhibitions. I saw an orchid exhibition. Take time here to relax, sit in the sun and admire the colours, it shouldn't be rushed!

WINDMILLS AND TULIPFIELDS

There is a windmill at the Keukenhof and when you climb up you can see for miles (Holland is very flat). Its great to see brightly coloured strips of flowers in the distant fields.
