THE CASTLE | The castle on top of the hill |
Rosenburg is the off the beaten track location of a renaissance castle in the province of Lower Austria. Its a quiet place with an impressive view of the wooded Waldviertel (wood district). To enjoy the castle at its best make sure you either come before 11 in the morning or 14:30 in the afternoon. Entrance to the castle costs 7.50 Euros for adults (more if their is a special event taking place). |
PREDATORS One of the highlights of a trip to the castle is the bird exhibition. You can see huge birds like eagles and vultures flying around literally centimetres away from you!! |
THE WALDVIERTEL Rosenburg is located in the Waldviertel (Wood District) of Austria where you will find many woods and areas of natural beauty. I found this pile of logs just outside of the small village in a meadow. |
