Hadrian's temple and the baths - Ephesus

Hadrian's temple and the baths

Classical ruins

Ephesus is full of amazing ruins which sometimes disappear into the hills. Some of them are open to the public to look around, like the Roman public toilets and some temples, also watch out for the stone engravings on the street side near the brothel. Some of the more elaborate houses with mosaic floors are covered over and under conservation.

There are quite a few gateways along this street all worth studying if you are interested in classical history. They date back to around the 4th Century AD.

Great Theatre Grand Theatre Review

This amazing theatre was capable of holding up to 25,000 people and is still used for summer performances. Good if you like climbing around ruins!
