Luggage And Bags: I wouldn't bring too much by way of luggage, but it really depends upon your major interests. Usually things can be hired (saves you carrying it). If I were visiting here I would only have one bag and a carry on that converts to a 'take around all over the place' that holds your important items. DON'T FORGET THE SUN SCREEN........... the single most important item............but there again you can get that everywhere here too.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Your wearing apparel also depends on what you will be doing here. If you are going to be going bush then I guess your best walking boots would make sense..............a light weatherproof jacket would never go astray and as for the rest well I would have summer gear and maybe one pair of warmer slacks (or jeans) and one cardigan...............probably see you through anything that you are likely to come across. If going on excursions that are planned............take plenty of notice of your guides...................If going alone always read up about the area and heed the advice......
Toiletries & Medical Supplies: Most of what you need can be found here but don't forget your prescriptions.
Photo Equipment: Your best camera is an essential part of a trip to NSW................a tripod if you use one and extra lenses if you have them.............the photographic opportunities are many and varied.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Depends upon what you are intending but there are numerous camping grounds, don't forget the 30 + (can't say this enough) and I think that we've covered the rest pretty well.
Miscellaneous: Bring along a willingness to try something different and meet people half-way and you are bound to have yourself the trip of a lifetime.
