New South Wales -- A Wonderful STATE of Being.

by unravelau - last update: May 30, 2007

Beautiful beaches all along the coast.

Sydney Sun
There are many beautiful beaches to experience in Australia, but one of NSW's sayings is that 'Life's A Beach'.............that's pretty true here.....i.e. calm, peaceful, serene, restful, clean and beautiful.

The port in Sydney is a beautiful place to arrive at or depart from for a romantic sea voyage. In this pic (03/23/07) the Orient Princess was just docking. Causes you to think about sailing away on a holiday eh?

Why be anywhere else?

New South Wales is one state of seven areas into which Australia is divided. NSW just happens to be the state where I have spent most of my life so it would be unfair of me to say that it is the best, ha, ha. There is so much of Australia that I haven't seen in real life but I will rectify that. I have visited, Victoria, Queensland, ACT and Tasmania so this is a pretty telling tale.

No matter where you go in Australia you are likely to find the Koala in its natural state and not have to resort to pictures like this to illustrate a point.

Let's play at the creek

Water games are very popular in NSW. Despite my quiet photo's (I just choose the spaces in between the hustle and bustle), the creeks, rivers and surf can be busy places. Boats, windsurfers, skiers, swimmers, surfers, divers, fisherpeople etc. etc., can be found in great numbers ..................... or not.

Pros:"NSW has the mix of everything that you could want."
Cons:"For me, some places can be too busy at times."
In A Nutshell:"NSW is obviously the state for me."

Fascinating to see the old photos alongside the new! And I've never seen sugar smoke before :) Finally, your Sydney photos reminded me how much I loved the city when were there some years ago.

Your page remembers me a lot when I travelled to Sydney in the 90's. The sunrises are wonderful and the harbour is still so nice. Ah, but you never (we never should say never, but. . . ) will see me with one of these tee shirts! LOL

An updated page! With 40 year old photos! (Well rescued incidentally). Cheers. (P.S. I'm not a sliced cheese fan)

Yes, it really did look a bit different in 1963, LOL.
