We went up to Beacon for one of the Second Saturday celebrations. It was interesting, but also a little depressing. We were sad that there weren't more people there. We couldn't tell if there was growth going on, or if it was in decline. Either way, we saw some cool glass blowing, we visited a castle, we went to a lot of galleries, and we ate some great Caribbean food! Not a bad day out! |

How long have they been doing these "Second Saturdays"? Sounds like a good idea. Trying to attract visitors from New York City, I suppose. Glad you had a nice day out, in any case. |
